Harwich whereof Nicholas}
Cooper is Master against the shippe}
called the Jacob of Ipswich}
wherof George Kennett nowe is
or late was Mr ffrancklin}
Smith}

Munday the 12th of May 1656
before Doctor Godolphin
in his chamber et cetera Sppeared
the said Smith for George
Kennett and Company and
made himselfe partie for them
and alleadged That the said
shipp the Jacob did att the
time of the arrest in this
behalfe made and still doth belonge
unto them and produced for sureties one
Daniel Bowle of Ipswitch in the County
of Suffolke marriner and Robert Bradnam
of Wapping in the County of Middlesex Haberdasher
whoe submitting themselves et cetera obliged themselves
et cetera for the said George Kennett and Company
in the summe of ffive hundred pounds of lawfull
money of England to the said Benjamin
Gifford and Company to answer the action
by them [?XXXXXX] against the said shipp
the Jacob and to pay what the said Kennett
