Satterday the 13th day of January
1654. before the worshipfull William
Clerke and John Godolphin doctors
of lawes and twoe of the Judges et cetera
in the dyninge Chamber et cetera in the presence
of Samuell howe notary publique Appeared
the said Suckley at whose petition the Judges
did assigne to heare this cause upon Thursday
next in the afternoone in this [?XXXXX] in the presence
of the said Smith and Phillips dissentinge
whome the Judges monished to be then and there
present and likewise Captaine HGreene to be then and there
present, and that Captaine Phillips doe in the meane time
conferr with doctor Stephens about the said buisines

Sowden against haddocke}
Budd, Smith}

Which day the said Bud uppon the
matter by him in this cause given and
admitted produced as a party principall
the said haddocke whome the Judges
receaved and administred an oath unto himm
to speake the truth at the time of his examination
and monished him to give in his answere by the
next Court day./

The Lord Protector against ffrancis}
Burton, Bud Smith}

Which day appeared the said
ffrancis Burton under the
Custodie of the Marshall of this
Court and submittinge himselfe
obliged himself et cetera in the sume of
one thousand pounes of lawfull money
of England to his highnes the Lord Protector
to appeare personally before the Judges of
this Court in this place upon ffriday next
in the morninge and not to depart without
the lycence of this Court And unlles et cetera Which
Caution the Judges receaved and decreed the
Attachmentin this behalf issued to be superseded

to this port of London in the}
shipp the Alexander belonging}
to Colonel Mathewes Robert}
Lewellin and William Jackson}
and Thomas Potter, Smith}

Which day the Judges did
order that the said
Mathewes, Potter, Lewellin
and Jackson doe take
away their respective
goods brought to this port
of London in the said shippe
by them claymed by Thursday
next and pay the freight for the
same

Stephens against Alderman}
ffowke Bud, Allen}

Munday the 15th day of the moneth
of January 1654 before doctor Godolphin
one of the Judges et cetera in his Chamber and
in the presence of Samuell howe notary
publique Appeared the said Bud and the said
Stephens and alleadged that they had left
in the Registrie of this Court a booke of Accounts
of the shipp London, and that nowe the said Stephens
had occasion to use the same and therefore they
prayed the same to be decreed to be redelivered
unto them whereupon the Judge did decree the
said booke of Accounts to be redelivered unto the
said Stephens whoe then together with Mr Bud
undertooke to bringe the said booke into this
Court whensoever this Court shall soe order/
