Transcription

Ad 6 rendit that the said Sansier never spake of the freeness or unfreezes of his ship saving as
aforesaid ad qua serefert. Et alr nescit.

Ad 7 deposit that her hath seen Sir Anthony de Massey and Captaine Mills alr [?nova]

Ad 8 rendit that her cometh to say the truth about this business And would if it were
in his power condemns both ship and lading in regard as the Master hath often confessed to this deponent
they belong to Hollanders merchants of Middleburgh. alr nova.

Alr 9 rendit that the foresail words were spoken in Dutch and ffrench, both which
languages this rennet understandeth and most of the discourse was on board the ffrigott
alr nescit salvis predepoita.

Ad 10 rendit that her has bin examined as a witness touching the fortune of Dantzick in this
Court on behalf of the seizors by means of Captaine Bourne he came to bee Examined
having business of his owne in town.

Ad 11 nova.

Ad 12 rendit that he lived two years last on the Isle of Wight and before in Spaine and
other places beyond the seas, and is worth little being a Common Seaman.

Arnoldus Beake habitans in Crutched ffryers London
mercator, atatis 5[?6] aut eo circiter testis product et Jurat

Ad primum arlum deponit that the arlate Samuel Beake is this
deponents sonne and was borne in the parish of Saint Buttolph Billens
gate in this city of London, and here educated by this deponent
his father and was and is a subiect of our soveraigne Lord the King
and for such commonly accounted.

Ad 2 deponit that the said Samuel liveth at Bourdeaux as a merchant
stranger and factor being an Englishman and a batchelour
noe housekeeper but a lodger there, And that hath driven and doth
drive a very considerable trade in merchandizing from Rochell, Oloroone
and other places in ffrance to Corke and other places in Ireland
upon his owe accout And to that purpose keepes his factors at the respective places, which
hee knoweth being frequently advised by letters of such his
negotiation and traffique [?XXXX] salvis subsequon nescit.

Ad 3. deponit that the arlate Samuel Beake advised this depot that
hee had bought a shipp Peter Knight Master and English shipp then
called the Cumberland of London now the Swedish Layon
and this deponent desireing a share with him therein, he denyed this deponent
adviseing him that hee had laded her with wines and pruines for
Dublin in Ireland to bee delivered and consigned to Josuah Allen a
merchant of Dublin, and that she was upon her voyage. But when shee
had ended her voyage hee wrote
this deponent that hee might then have a share. And the arlate Joshua Allen
wrote this deponent about May last that hee had Received a
lading of wines and pruines and had sold or disposed of them or the greater part of them for the said
Samuells account. and that hee intended to have laden her back for Rochell
with pipe staves. Which this deponent forbad him in regard they were
Counterband goods and soe counter manded his said sonnes order. Et
alr nescit.

Ad 6 deponit that the arlate Baily did about the month of July
last by advice and order from the said producent lade and caused to bee
laden on board the said shipp Swedish Lyon three hundred of [?Maroon] [?of XXX]
wanting Eight bushells, or thereabouts for his the said producents account to bee
