Examined upon an Allegation given in on the behalfe of the
said Warren Westcombe and others:/:

To the first, and second articles of the said Allegation. hee saith that hee
well knew the shipp the 'Anne and Margaret arlate, which ship hee
saith was in the moneth of July 1658 and at such time as shee was
Chased, a New, Strong, and tight ship, and very well furnished with
Powder shot, and all other warlike Provisions fit for her defence; and
was a ship of the burthen of about 190 Tonns, and had tthe time
aforesaid in her 29 or 30 men, and Nineteene Gunns; Of which said
ship hee saith the arlate Charles Sannders was Comander the voyage
in question, who he saith was Living and on board the said ship before and at the
time of her Chasing. and two dayes after her Surrendring. The premisse
hee deposeth and knoweth to be true for that hee went all the voyage in question
in the said ship: And further Cannot depose.
