Transcription

To the forth hee saith that the said Williamson bought
the said shipp wholly as by the said bill of Sale Appeareth and
that hee hath since sold one Eighth part of her to William Carbe
of Dover master of her and two other Eighths to two other English
=men subjects of this Commonwealth, and retayneth the propriety
of the other five eighth parts to himselfe and otherwise negatively

To the 5th negatively./

To the last hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.

the voyage in question aged thirty
five yeares or thereabouts a wittnesse
sworne and examined saith and
deposeth as followeth videlicet./

To the first article of the sayd allegation hee saith that the arlate Maurice
Thompson Alderman Richard Hill Alderman William Thompson and the rest
parties to this suite videlicet William Pennoyer Nehemia Bourne Job Throckmorton
Michaell Davison during all the moneths and tyme arlate in the yeare one thousand
sixe hundred fifty sixe were commonly reputed the freighters and imployers of the
arlate shipp the Olive Branch and did hyre and freight her by the tonne for
the voyage in question which was a voyage from this Port of London to Bantam
in the East Indies and from thence to Ligorne in Europe this hee the better knoweth
for that hee was and went Purser of the sayd shipp for the sayd voyage and hath
seene a Coppy of the sayd Charterparty for the sayd voyage and read the same And
further to this article hee cannot depose
