Transcription

The sayd Captaine John Greene upon an allegation
given in on the behalfe of the sayd Phillipps in
the third place./

To the first and second articles of the sayd allegation hee saith saving
his fforegoeing deposeition to the allegation given on the behalfe of the
sayd Phillipps in the first place to which hee referreth hee cannot depose

To the 3 saving his deposition to the 3 article of the allegation given in the
second place to which hee referreth hee cannot depose./

To the 4th saving his foregoeing deposition to the first and second articles of the
allegation given in the second place hee cannot depose./

To the 5th hee cannot depose having never seene any letters of Attorney
from any of the parties in this cause to the effect arlate./

Examined upon a libell given in on the
behalfe of the sayd Richard hamond/

William Collins of the parish of
Stepney and County of Middlesex Butcher aged nynteene
yeares or thereabouts a wittnes sworne
and examined saith and deposeth as
followeth videlicet./

To the first article of the sayd libell hee saith that during all the
moneths and tyme arlate in the yeares 1653 and 1654 and
untill toward the latter end of the moneth of October 1655
the arlate Gregory Carye did execute the office and place of
Master or Commander of the arlate Shipp the Sisters and was
Commonly accompted reputed and taken to bee the Master
and Commander of her during the sayd tyme the premisses he
deposeth for that hee knoweth the sayd Carye did as master of her bargaine
for and buy divers quantities of provisions for the sayd shipp and as Master
of her take upon him to pay for the same, and for that hee hath heard
the Company of the sayd shipp acknowledge and confesse the tyme predeposed
that the sayd Carey was Master of the sayd shipp And further to this
article hee cannot depose/
