To the tenth hee saith the Interrogated John Reppingall and Ambrose
Bertensells are Inhabitants of Strowde, and otherwise hee cannot answer.

To the eleaventh hee hath not doe deposed.

Examined upon the said allegation.

John ffowler of Strowde in the County of kent ffisherman
aged 30 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the said allegation hee saith hee served his apprenticeshipp to a
ffisherman of Strowde and hath bin a ffisher man and boy of that
place for theise twenty yeares last and liveth there at present, and
hath severall times fished on the grounds or in the places in question
and hath knowne severall others of Strowde fish there in the said space
and saith the same is an arme and part of the sea, and that shipps
of three hundred tunnes may saile and passe in and out of the same
and that the sea ebbeth and floweth there, and for such a place the
same was and is as hee saith commonly accompted and reputed, And
otherwise hee cannot depose saving that the ffishermen of Strowde
and Milton and other places adiacent ought to have freedome to fish
and dredge there, and saving hee hath bin informed by auncient fishermen
of Strowde and Barking that they have fished there on and off theise 50 yeares
last,

To the firts and second hee saith hee is a fisher man of Strowde in
his owne right, and claimeth right to fish on the hrounds in question
and ia a partie in this sute to maintaine his said right against
the ffeversahm men, to which end hee contributeth towards this sute.

To the third and fourth hee saith the ffversham men use
to ffish and dredge on the said grounds, and challenge the fishing there
to them selves and endeavour to exclude all others, And otherwise hee
cannot depose.

To the 5. 6. 7. 8 and 9 hee saith that the ffeversham men have
often interrupted and troubled those of Strowde and other places for
sishing in the said grounds, and have somtimes taken away their
boates and goods, and offered violence to their persons, but have afterwards
restored their said boates and goods againe, and in particular they have
troubled John Reppingall and John [?Sammon] of Strowde for fishing there
but have afterwards restored their goods and given them satisfaction for
their charge and dammage. And otherwise
hee cannot depose, saving ffaversham men use to store the said grounds
withoisters which they [?carefully] take out of the common, and
use to watch the said grounds to keepe others from fishing there.

To the tenth hee saith that the interrogated John Reppingall and
Ambrose Bartensells are Inhabitants of Strowde, and otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the last hee hath not doe deposed.
