To the 8th hee saith that the said Chamberlaine was and is commonly accompted
a subiect of this Commonwealth, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first hee saith that the said Christofer Tailer spake to him
to come and testifie what hee knew in this businesse, and that hee
hath noe relation to him, nor expecteth any reward or proffit in or by
this businesse in any sort whatsoever, And otherwise hee cannot answer
saving as aforesaid.
To the second hee cannot depose, saving hee was not present at
the said Scotts binding.
To third hee saith that hee knoweth that the said Tailer used meanes
and endeavours to re[?gaine] and get his said apprentice againe, and had
once got him home, and the said Scot went away againe. And
otherwise hee cannot depose, saving hee knoweth not of any
perswasions or allurements used by the said Chamberlain, to intice
away the said Scott./

Examined upon an Allegation on the behalf
of the said Yaxley Blowers and Companie
Rp. EA. jus./

Mariner aged 24 yeares or thereabout
a Wittnes sworne and examined/:-
To the first Article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth, That hee well knoweth
the shipp the Mary of Alborough arlate, and hath so knowne her for all
the time arlate, and for above ten yeares more, And saith That for all the said
time of such this deponents knowledge of the said shipp, the arlate Robert
Yaxley George Blowers Arthur Blowers and Company all Townesmen and
inhabitants of Alborough aforesaid, have bin and at present are the true and
lawfull Owners of the said shipp her tackle and furniture, And for and as
such were and are commonly and generally observed and knowne, Which the
premisses this deponent knoweth being a Native of Alborough aforesaid, and
haveing there resided from his infancie, and thereby having good knowledge both
of the said shipp and Owners. And further cannot depose:/
To the second Article hee saith and deposeth, That upon or about the 26th day of
the moneth of October last past, the shipp the Mary of Alborough aforesaid
being laden with Coales taken in at Newcastle and comeing up the River of
Thames in the Long-reach alias Gallions reach, and the said Vessell the freeman
at the same time comeing downe the sayd river, the wind then being
West-South-West, which was as favourable a Wind as could be desired, together
with the conveniencie of roome enough for the said Vessell the ffreeman and
the Companie to have passed by the said shipp Mary without endammageing
her in the least, Yet the said Vessell the ffreeman by the willfullnesse
of the said John Whitty her Commander and Companie runne the said Vessell
the Mary on board, and by the meanes of such their violent tunning on
