saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose./

To the 4th hee saith, That the Convoy interrate, so farr as thuis rendent
now remembreth, arrived at Ciprus in or neere the moneth of May
1652:- and saith the Thomas Bonadventure interrate was not then
fully laden, and saith, (so farr as hee also now remembreth) the said Convoy
sett saile from Cyprus for Scanderoone, upon or about the same day that
the dart and Afriacn frigatt interrate came to Cyprus, the said [?Chewne]
coming at the said time a passenger in the said dart frigat (Captaine Edward
Maplesden Commander) from Scanderoone to Cyprus, and saith the said
Convoy remained at Cyprus after their first arrivall there about 2, or
3. daies before the said Chewnes arrivall on the dart, which together with
the said African frigat remained there about 24. howers as hee now
remembreth, And further cannot depose./

To the 5th hee referreth himselfe to his deposition to the 6th article interrate, and
otherwise cannot depose, saving that when the words by him predeposed [?pXXX]
neere the Customs house of Saint Elena at Cyprus onely this deponent and the
said Chewne and hughes were in Companie togeather, and Mr Fowkes
Consull at Cyprus./

To the 6th hee saith, that the English Convoy and Thomas Bonad
venture interrate came togeather from Ciprus in or about the
beginning of the moneth of June 1652. And further cnnot depose./

To the 7th and 8th articles hee saith hee hath not deposed to the articles
interrate/

To the 9th hee saith, That by the said English Convoy a rumour came to Cyprus
of the probabilitie of a warr betwixt the dutch and English, but this
examinate heard no assurance of it till afterwards that the said Convoy and
Bonadventure came to Zant./

To the 10th hee hath not deposed to the article interrate:-/

To the 11th hee saith, That the Convoy and Bonadventure interrate
arrived at Porto Longoone in or about the nineth of August 1652
And saith the said shipp Bonadventure sailed thence with some English
shipps to Porta fferrara about the moneth of January 1652. English style
and knoweth not of any of the English shipps interrate that departed thence
before that time. And further hee cannot depose./

To the 12th hee saith hee hath not deposed to the 11th article interrate./

Top the 13th hee saith, That by and according to common and generall report
the said shippp Thomas Bonadventure was in or about the moneth
of January 1652. English stile, by the interrate Captaine Richard
Badiley commannded into the service of this Commonswealth, by Vertue
of an Order from the Councill of State, And further cannot depose
not being present at the impressing interrate, nor having any knowledge
of the Commission interrate./
