schedule arlate, and marked with the sayd first marke in the margent, And
aboard the sayd shipp the Salvador whereof the sayd Christian Cloppenbergh
is Captaine all and singular the plate and sylver mentioned in the sayd
second schedule arlate and marked with the sayd first marke in the margent
and in September 1652 aboard the sayd shipp the Sampson Otto George Captaine all and and (sic)
singular the plate and sylver mentioned and expressed in the sayd third
schedule arlate and marked upon the outside of the bagg or [?covering]
with the sayd second marke in the margent all for their own proper
use and Accompt to be carryed and transported in the sayd shipps respectively
from Cadiz to Ostend, there to be delivered unto him this deponent
at their freind and correspondent for their sole benefitt use and Account
All which this deponent knoweth to be true for that he did att their
request and by their Order lade the sayd Sylver upon the sayd shipps
respectively as aforsayd. And further he cannot depose.
To the third Article of the sayd Allegation This deponent saith and deposeth that
att the tyme of the lading of the sayd silver respectively as aforsayd, He this
deponent saw the arlate John Martinsdorp signe and firme three bills
of lading all of one tenor for the sayd silver mentioned in the sayd first
schedule arlate, and saw likewise the arlate Christian Cloppenbergh
signe three bills of lading all of one tenor for the sayd sylver mentioned
in the sayd second schedule arlate, and saw in like manner the Purser of
the arlate Otto George by name Peter Huckfeild, otherwise Pedro da
Campo vieta signe three bills of lading all of one tenor for the sayd
sylver mentioned in the sayd third schedule arlate. And he saith that each
of the sayd Captaines as he verily beleiveth brought one of the sayd bills
of lading in their sayd shipps respectively, wherein they [went?]as this
deponent likewise [beleives?] att [the?] time of seizure, And further
referring himselfe to the [?] of this Court [?] depose, saving
he saith he hath lately [?]out of Fflanders [?] of the aforsayd
