To the 5th he sayth that this deponent was present and saw Christian Cloppenbergh
a shoare in Cadiz about the fourth day of October 1652 new stile signe three
bills of lading all of one tenor for the tobaccoes laden aboard the Salvador.
and saith he was not present at the signing of the other bills interrate.

To the .13.th he saith he was borne att Lisbon in Portugall, and for theis 22
yeares hath lived in the Varinas of the West Indies. and saith he hath
noe manner of property or interest whatsoever by way of ensurance or
otherwise in the sayd sylver and goods, and saith the restitution thereof will
be of noe advantage or benefit to him.

To the 22 he saith he knoweth not Charles Vinck interrate neither knoweth he
for what cause his name is used in the Bills of lading. and further referring
himselfe to his preceding depositions he cannot depose.

To the .23.th he saith he saw the bill of lading to the allegation annexed
signed by Christian Cloppenbergh in the hands of Pedro Hulee in Cadiz
to whom the same with another of the same tenor was delivered to the sayd
Hulee by the sayd Cloppenbergh, and one of the same tenor was left in the
Custody of the sayd Cloppenbergh. And otherwise negatively so farr
as hee knoweth or remembreth.

To the .1. and 2d. he saith, that he hath bene long out of Spaine, and lived there
but for a small space of tyme, and saith he knoweth not the Lawes and Customes
of Spaine. And further he cannot depose
