To the Interrogatories; / [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first negatively;-
To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate Gaspar or Jaspar Tam from his
infancie, and saving his foregoing deposition hee cannot otherwise then negatively depose
To the third hee saith that the interrate Gaspar Tam was expresselye left by the producent
at Cadiz to dispose of his goods left there as aforesaid, And otherwise cannot depose:-
To the fourth hee referreth himself to his foregoing deposition, and saith the said Peter Tam
is an married man and liveth with his family upon the Scheep bouwer brooke at
Hamburgh, and the said Peter Tam [Editor: Peter Tam probably notary error for Gasper Tam] (sic) is a Batchelor
To the 5th hee referreth himself to his foregoing deposition, And otherwise cannot depose
To the 6th hee saith hee hath not so deposed
To the 7th 8 and 9th Interrogatories hee saith hee knoweth noting thereof
To the 10th hee saith hee doeth not knowe neither is hee in Conscience convinced that
that the peeces of eight interrate or any part thereof belongeth to any other Person
than the interrate Peter Tam. And otherwise cannot depose, saving hee firmly
beleiveth that the ship interrate was at the time of her seizure directly bound
for Ostend to make her full discharge of the silver now claymed and
the rest of the Cargo then aboard her.
To the 11. negatively. And otherwise cannot depose:-
To the 12. hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition:-
To the 13. hee saith hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition And otherwise
cannot depose, saving that the goods predeposed were brought from Genoa in the
shipp the Goulden Sun of Hamborugh by the said Peter Tam Master thereof
and were by him left at Cadiz to be disposed of as aforesaid
To the 14th hee referreth himself to his foregoing deposition:-
To the 15th hee saith hee this deponent is a Hamburgher by birth and habitation
And otherwise negatively.
To the 16th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof
To the 17th 18 and 19th hee saith hee knoweth nothing otherwise then hee hath
predeposed.
To the 20th hee saith hee knoweth thereof.
To the 21. hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition, wherein hee saith hee
hath declared as much as hee knoweth as to the demands of this Interrogatorie.
To the 22. hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof
To the 23. hee cannot depose
To the Interogatries in the second place hee saith That hee hath well knowne
by long experience that great quantities of sylver plate and moneys
have been transported out of Spaine without without any confiscation or
impediment whatsoever, And otherwise hee saith hee cannot
depose not knowing the Lawes of Spaine as hee saith concerning
the contents of the said Interogitories Michael Van Lubkin
