Transcription

London in barres of silver plate and moneys to a very great and Considerable
value[?], which have been received for his accompt by Mechants residing here in
England, and by them made over to him by bills of exchange, and by English manufactures
as perpetunet[?] bayes sayes and the like sent by them for his use and accompt in
Spaine. And so much hee saith was and is true and commonly knowne amongst
Merchants both of this nation and of fflanders. And further he cannot depose:-

To the Third hee saith, That in the years 1651. and 1652. arlate and moneths
therein respectively concerning[?] or some of them the said producent for his owne accompt
and adventure did some severall parcells and quantities of goods and Merchandizes
from Ostend, and from Dunqircke (since it returning under the obedience of
Spaine) and from this port of [?] and on to the arlate Gerard Riper[?], John Lopez de Molina, John Baptista
and to Peter de Loletta and others his factors and Correspondents in Spaine, with
order and direction to his said ffactors to sell and dispose of the same[/sales?] to his best
advantages and to make him returnes of the same[?] into fflanders in bullion plate and
pieces of eight; which said goods the ffactors aforesaid received in safety, as hee
beleveth, And accordingly by letters of advise Certified the said producent, that
they had or would dispose of the [?] according to his order, and receitt[?] unto him the
proceed thereof in plate bullion and Coyne which they also performed, The promises[?]
this deponent well knoweth, for the hee being Journall keeper to the said producente
and by that meanes familiarly acquainted with his whole [?] and trading
did with his owne hand write and enter into the said Journall the respective goods and
Merchandizes so sent as aforesaid, and writt[?] the sevrall [?] thereof which
were sent of land to the said ffactors and having also seene and pased[?] the sevrall adverses[?] advises and letters for all the said time passing and repassing between the said John
Bollart and his said ffactors for and concerning the negotiation aforesaid. And
further hee cannot depose:

To the fourth hee saith That by means of this deponents said employment and privity[?]
to the Merchandizing affaires of the said producent, and by frequent and Diligent
pusuing of the said adresses [?] letters and by the bills of lading sent over land to the said
producent from his ffactors for his said returnes, hee this deponent knoweth That in
or about the monthe of May June July August September and October in the
yeare 1652. last past or some of them, the arlate Gerard Riper Lopez de Monlina
John Baptista, and the said Peter de Loletta and others ffactors and Correspondents
of the said John Bollart did as part of the Returnes of the goods and
Merchandizes sent to them as aforesaid for his accompt, lade and cause to bee laden
aboard the shipps the Saint George (John Martenson dorp Master), the Salvador
(Christian Cloppenburgh Master) and the Sampson (Otto George Master)
all and singular the parcells of silver plate bullion and Coyne mentioned and
[?] in the beginning of the said Allegation, That is to say, tenn
barres [?] of silver in forme of a snail shell marked with the first marke in the

the third mark number 977. and the other of the 4th marke number 108. and foure
