To the 16. hee saith hee is a Spaniard by birth, and liveth at dunkerke, and is
sonne to the partie producent. And otherwise negatively:-/

To the 20.th hee saith, That having himself first received the bill of ladeing annexed
at Antwerp, and since from his mother here in England, and finding it exasctly
to agree with the bill of lading of the same tenor remaining in the Registry of this
Court, hee well knoweth it to be one of the Originall bills of lading for the said
silver. And otherwise saving his foregoeing deposition hee saith hee cannot depose:-/

To th 25. and 26. hee saith, That it is prohibited in Spaine to
Carry out silver thence without Licence, and if it be taken before
it came aboard. is confiscable, but saith that for Hamborough shipps
what silver they gott aboard it is not sensible in Spaine by the articles
of agreement betweene the Republique and the Crowne of Spaine, And
otherwise cannot depose.

Merchant aged 28 yeares or thereabouts a
Wittnesse sworne and examined saith-/

To the first second and third articles of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth,
That hee this deponent hath well knowne the producent Sara Smetsarta
arlate, and hath so done for theise 14. yeares last past or thereabouts
and saith that for all the time shee the said deponent hath bin and now is
a Subject of the king of Spaine, and hath formerly lived at Sevill in Spaine
and since at Antwerp in Brabant where shee dwelleth at present
And saith that in the yeare 1652. last past this deponent being upon his
usuall occasions of Merchandizing at Cadiz in Spaine, and in the
(house
