appeares tp have bene laden, And further or otherwise he cannot depose
saving his foregoeing depositions whereto he referrs himselfe

To the 15th he saith he was borne [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT] and liveth in London
and is the producents apprentice and otherwise negatively.

To the 16th. he saith he was not present att the buying of the sayd sylver
and further saving his foregoeing depositions hee cannot depose

To the 17th. he knoweth nothing thereof.

To the 18th. negatively

To the 19th. he cannot depose otherwise than as aforesayd.

To the 10th he beleiveth the sayd bill of lading was sent to the
producent from Antwerp by the sayd Alst. to whom the sayd de la
Sierpe had sent the same from Cadiz. and further cannot depose.

To the 21th. he knoweth nothing thereof.

To the 22th. he saith he cannot depose.

To the 23. he cannot depose

To the 24 and 25th. he saith he cannot depose not knoweing
the lawes of Spaine.

To the 26th. he saith he saw the letter interrate before the seizure
in question. and saith it came to the producents hands by the Post
about September 1652. the certaine day he knoweth not.
and further saving his foregoeing depositions cannot
depose.

Examined upon the sayd allegation.

Ezechiel Lampen of the parish of
Saint Andrewes Undershaft London merchant
aged 20 yeares or thereabouts a witnes
sworne and examined deposeth and saith
as followeth videlicet.

To the first and second articles of the sayd allegation This deponent saith
that having lived for theis three yeares last past and upwards
as an Apprentice with Mr James Stanier of London a merchant
who hath bene and is a Correspondent of the producents Cornelius and
Henry Hillewervin he thereby comes to know that the sayd producents
are merchants of great quality residing at Antwerpe and drive
a great trade to Cadiz and Saint Lucar in Spaine where they have
their factors that receyve goods for their accompt out of fflanders
and England and make them returnes in moneyes and sylver
And particularly saith that by the bookes of accompt of the sayd James
Stanier which are fairly kept after the way of merchants which have
bene lately consulted by this deponent upon this Occasion It doth
appeare
