The Clayme of Symon da ffonseca}
Pyna for his sylver and moneyes}
in the Saint George et cetera}

Examined upon an allegation on the behalfe of Symon da
ffonseca Pina.

Anthonio Estevan de Balderas borne
att Madrid in Spaine an Inhabitant of Limma
in the Indies merchant aged 38 yeares or thereabouts
a witnes sworne and examined deposeth and saith
as followeth. videlicet.

To the 1. 2. 3. and 4. article sof the sayd allegation This deponent saith that
in or about the moneth of August 1652 being att Cadiz in Spaine
and in Company with and in the howse of William Corneliz
(aho was and os the factor of Simon ffonseca Pyna a merchant of
Madrid knowne to this deponent for theis 20 yeares last past) he had
and there saw in his possession severall parcells of plate and sylver
which the sayd Porneliz then sayd did belong to the sayd Symonda
ffonsec Pyna. and amongst the rest the arlate six barrs of sylver
marked DMF and one bagg no. 9. having sylver therein which
sayd severall parcells of sylver the sayd Porneliz then sayd he had order
to remitt to Juan Alvarez of Antwerpe for the producents accompt
and that he did intend to send the same accordingly by Otto George
Christian Cloppenbergh and John Martins whose shipps then lay in the
bay of Cadiz bound for Ostend. And not long after and within the
sayd moneth of August 1652. this deponent being agayne with the
sayd Porneliz att his howse he told this deponent that he had laden the
forementioned parcells of sylver on board the sayd shipps, and with all
shewed this deponent bills of lading for the same, one whereof
was the bill of lading arlate and now shewne him or of the [?XXX]
