Examined upon the foresaid allegation.

Rp. 3.

Joachim Doake of Lubeck Mariner aged 38 yeares or
thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee
well knoeth the shipp the Sampson arlate and Otto George the master
thereof, and well knoweth that the said shipp was built at Lubeck
which building was begun in or about the beginning of the yeare 1645, and was finished in or about
the yeare 1646, and saith shee was soe built for and at the chardge
of Antonio Wessell a merchant of Lubeck and a freeman and burgher
of that citie, And that in the yeare 1647 and while the said shipp was
newe and before shee had made any voyage the producent Otto George
came and bought the said shipp of him the said Antonio Wessell at Lubeck
for and on the behalfe of himselfe and company the rest of the owners of the
said shipp, which hee knoweth this deponent living at Lubeck and seeing the
said building by the said Antonio Wesel who was and is owner of this
deponents shipp the ffortune of Lubeck, and being acquainted with the said
