The 23th of May 1653. [CENTRE HEADING]

On the behalfe of the State touching goods claimed}
by George Boscaert in the King David henry}
[?Luick] master.}

Rowe dt.

George Boscaert of Antwerp Merchant
aged 33 yeares or thereabouts sworne as
in the acts of Court, and examined upon
certaine Interrogatories ministred unto him on the behalfe
of the State saith and deposeth as followeth, videlicet.

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee gave order and
direction to ffrancis da Coninck of Roane to buy and procure for him
this deponent theise linnens which hee now claimeth
and to consigned the same to be delivered to Philip de Pape at Ostend
for his this deponents owne accompt.

To the second hee saith it is not contracted or any monies agreed or understood
by or betweene him this examinate and the said ffrancis da Connick that
what linnens or goods the said ffrancis da Conninck shall send into
fflanders to or for this deponent, shall untill the landing thereof
in fflanders be upon the account or adventure of him the said ffrancis
da Conninck, or that hee shall beare te losse thereof in case of
miscarriage, but saith that such goods and linnens as the said
ffrancis shall at any time send by this deponents order as hee did
the linnens in question, this deponent is to beare the adventure thereof
from the very time of their buying and lading
albeit they doe not arive in safetie, but be cast away or otherwise
miscarry, and soe hee ran the adventure of the linnen in question.
