Jerome Peterson, Gerrard Bourmaster, Vincent Clinquenburgh
and hendrick hambrooke every one owner alsoe of an eighth parte
of the said shipp and derrick Ropke and Christian Cloppenburgh
the Skipper, each of them owner of a sixteenth part, and for
owners thereof they the said persons have bin and are commonly
accompted and reputed, which hee knoweth being Purser of the said
shipp, and living in hamburgh where they all dwell and acquainted
with their buylding her there about six yeares since, ever since which time
namely for six yeares last shee hath in proprietie belonged
unto them of his knowledge as hee saith. And otherwise cannot depose
saving that noe hollander or
ffrench man or subiect of the States of the United Netherlands or of the
ffrench kinge had or have any interest or share therein, and saving
that hee hath seane and taken notice of the said owners setting her
out and fitting her at their owne cost on her voyages as owners of
the said shipp which hee saith was built by them at hamburgh in the
yeare 1647, and this deponent hath bin Purser thereof for theise
thirteene monethes last.
