his said correspondent had soe laden the said silver abord the
said ship which was come therewith from thence towards fflanres
And heareing that shee was by the way taken and surprized
by some of the ships of this Comon Wealth and was brought
into this Port hee did thereupon write and send letters from
Antwerpe unto this deponent thereby desireing this deponent
that if any letters or papers should come to his hands from Spaine
which concerned him that then hee would breake them open and
looke after his interest therein mentioned. and withall did
allsoe send this deponent an authentique procuration thereby
impowering him to clayme and endeavour the restitution of
the silver now in question for and on his the said Mollers
behalfe who was and is the true and lawfull owner thereof. Which
hee knoweth to bee true for the reasons by him predeposed. And otherwise
hee cannot depose.
