  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

The 20th of december 1652.

The keepers of the Libertie of England by}
authoritie of Parliament against the shipp the}
Angell Michael John Lowe master}

Rowe dt.

John de Pachter of Bridges
fflannders Cooper of the said shipp
the Angell Michael aged 21 yeares or
thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee doth
knowe who are owners of the said shipp the Saint Michael, and otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the second hee saith hee was not a witnesse to the bill of sale of
the said shipp nor sawe any money paid for the same, And otherwise
hee cannot depose

To the third hee saith that the name of the master of the said shipp
is John Lowe, who hath bin master of her ever since hee this examinate
came first into her, which was about tenn weekes sinceat [?Saint ?Lucar]
And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the fourth hee saith that the said shipp came last from Saint Lucars
before her seizure and was bound as hee was told and for ought hee knoweth to the
contrary for hamborough And otherwise hee cannot depose.
