in that unknowne place, or words to that effect upon which the said shipp
did saile about the said Iland and came in to the port of Trepanye aforesaid
wh[?en] there was about ten dayes of foule weather that they could not
worke, And saith that when they came to Gall[?epola] the said Chapman
fell sicke and kept his Cabbin for [XXX] or [?foure] dayes while the shipp
was laden, And otherwise hee answereth negatively.

To the 3d hee saith That the boate arlate was st[?aid] att Naples by the
only fault of the said [?Wood] the Master, for that the interrogated S[XXXXs] (in this deponents
heareing) did advise the said Wood to kepe the booke on board the said shipp
in regard they did each [XXX] s[uden] [?gu]sts and streames of water which might [XXXXX] it and
th[XXX] Whereupon the said Wood comanded [XXXXXXXXX] that the boate should bee hoisted on
board with what was in her (being Goats and sheepe) by reason whereof when
the Stormes came other shipps came downe upon the said boate, and [XXXX] her
to peeces, and [XXXXXX XXXXXX XXXX] this deponent and others of the Company, And hee saith
that afterwards att Naples there was an Anchor and Cable cutt away
from the said shipp by the [?Souldiers] who were sent aboard, who tooke away
the said Wood, and imprisoned him, supposeing that hee had [XXXX] the [XXXXX]
of some salt which hee had (as they suggested) unladen
att [XXXXer], which said Anchor was againe found by the said Wood after some
search and expense about the same, And otherwise he answereth negatively

To the 4th hee saith hee cannot answare saveing as aforesaid to which
he referreth himself.

The Interrogatories ministred in the second place./

To the said Interrogatories he answareth that hee was hyred by the said
Wood the Master to serve in the said shipp, the said voyage
for Eight or nine monthes att the most, and saith that he did serve in the
said shipp by the space of sixteene monthes and nineteene dayes or
thereabouts and then left her in Naples in regard the said wood would
not pay him his wages, and in respect hee had abused and impriosned
him dureing the said voyage, And otherwise he cannot answare.//
