the Elizabeth alias the ffortune together with the
shipps the Hopewell arlate from the very first
instant of the discovery of and sight of the said ships
the Nightingale and Saint Sebastian and dureing
all the while they were chaced and untill they were seized
were aydeing in and assisting to the takeing and persuite
of the said ships one of the said ships with the Elizabeth
being to the Leward and the other videlicet the Hopewell being
to the windward of the said ships the Saint Sebastian and the
Nightingale when they were soe pursued and taken by the
George and att and dureing all that tyme were both of
them very neare thereunto. which hee knoweth being as
aforesaid present and an eie-=witnes of the premisses which
hee saith are true and were of his knowledge soe had
and done as is predeposed And further hee cannot depose
To the rest of the articles hee is not examined by direction of the
producent.

Beane touching the ship the Eagle}
of London in a busines of Assurance}
Rp. X X XXX. jus.
Thomas Harrop of dickshore in the
parishe of Stepney mariner aged
50 yeares or thereabouts sworne the day
above said before the right worshipfull William Clarke
doctor of Lawes one of the Judges of the Admiraltye
and Examined upon Interrogatories ministred on the behalfe
of the said Humphrey Beane saith and deposeth by
Vertue of his oath as followeth.
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth That hee well knewe
the ship the Eagle interrogated at such tyme as shee was in Guinney
last And saith which hee saith was about this tyme but [?two] moneth
at which tyme she was in the Iland of P[XXXes] upon that coast
and at which place shee tooke in rice, Porke, [YXXXXes] and such like
provisions And saith that before her Comeing thither as the
Boatswaine and others of the said ships company told this deponent shee had receaved
in a great quantity of Gold upon the Gold coasts of Guiney and
when she was at P[?rules] had the same on bord her The premisses
hee deposeth because hee this deponent was then and there in the ship the
ffortune
