Leonardus Sadler de Novo Castro nauta aetatis 25
annorum aut eo circiter testis in hac parte productus
iuratus et examinatus./

Ad 4. et 5um arles allonis ex parte ded Wheatlye et al in hac
parte dat et oblat dicit et deponit tThat in summer last
was twelve monethes (tempus alr non modo recolit) the arlate
shipp called the Thomazine of London (wherof Thomas Shafto
was master) safelye arrived at Saint Jones in the Newfound Land
and from thence she sayled to ffarmoves arlate where the master
went on shoare to speake with one (whose name he nowe
remembreth not) to whome the sayd shipp as the sayd Shafto
affirmed was consigned to receive parte of her ladinge
and this deponent beinge then Boatswaines mate of the sayd shipp did
steere the boate on shoare in which the sayd Shaftoe went on shoare
but went not on shoare with him Et alr nescit de pred [?XX]
ex relacone did Shafto./

Ad 6um nescit deponere savinge he sayeth that after the sayd shipp
had stayd at ffaconoves by the space of halfe a daye to
take in part of her ladinge and nowe beinge brought abord her she
sayled from thence to Cape Broyle.

Ad 7. 8. et 9 arlos dicit et deponit That after the arrivall
of teh sayd shipp at Cape Broyle the arlate Robert Gord
did lade any fish abord her, but after her arrivall there his
deponent and divers others of the sayd shipps company were imployed
to spread and helepe to drye the sayd fish and to make it readye
to be laden, and the sayd shipp stayd there after she beganne to take
in her ladinge there by the space of a fortnight more or
thereabouts before shee tooke in the last of the fish which was there
laden abord her And this he affirmeth uppon his oath to bee
true Et alr nescit deponere./

Ad 10um affirmat That he this deponent kept noe iournall of the
dayes of the moneths when the sayd shipp arrived or what day she
departed from any portes, neither did he keepe any accompte of
the number or weight of the fish laden abord her the voyage
in question Et [?XX] nescit deponere./
