Johannes Cantrell Junior de Colchester in Comitatus Essex
nauta aetatis 24 annorum aut eo circiter testis in hac
parte productus iuratus et examinatus./

Ad primum arlum libelli nescit deponere/

Ad 2um affirmat That about six weekes since (to his nowe best
remembrance) the arlate Thomas Dunn at Larwicke in Norway
did lade abord the arlate shipp the Mathewe (whereof his precontest
Roger Tolen then was and still is master) soe many deales
sparrs baulks and other goods as the said shipp could conveniently
carrye beinge a shipp of the burthen of two hundred tonnes or thereabouts
(savinge some small quantitye of goods which were laden aboard
her by the sayd Tolen and this deponent) all which goods
laden by the sayd Dunn were to be brought in her to the porte
of London and there delivered unto Mr Isaacke Gould of
London merchant, but wheither the same or any part thereof
were for the proper use and accompte of the sayd Dunn or
for whose accompte the lader the same this deponent knoweth not
The premisses he knoweth to be true for
that he was Boatswayne of the sayd shipp the sayd voyage Et
alr nescit deponere/
