Transcription

Voyadge libelate the arlate Thomas Batt deceased
was bound and ought to pay for the freight of the ship
arlate 160 li a moneth for every moneth she should
remaine and continue in his service and imployment
and that the said shipp was and remayned in his
service and imployment sixteene monethes and twenty
five dayes upon the voyadge libellate, by reason whereof
there was due before the beginning of this suite
for freight of the said shipp for the voyage in
question the summ of 2693 li - 06 s - 8 d
And they further beleeve that after the date of
the charter party arlate and before the beginning
of this Suite the arlate Thomas Middleton had
and received of the arlate Thomas Batt or his
assigned Stt Allecant arlate or some other place neer
thereunto, and at other places as thy beleeve in
part of the freight aforesaid due for the imployment
of the said shipp the voyage arlate the summe of
1555 li - 08 s and noe more as they beleeve And
that besides the said 1555 li - 08 s received as
aforesaid there was and remained due to these
Rendents and company for the freight aforesaid
the summe of 1137 li - 18 s - 8 d
And otherwise they nor any of them doe not nor
doth beleeve the said pretended position to be
true in any part thereof saving that besides
the 1555 li - 08 s above mentioned the factors
of the said Thomas Batt within the time
arlate did in part of the freight as they
beleeve deliver to the said Thomas
Middleton att Allecant aforesaid on board the
shipp arlate 1500 peeces of eight and noe
more which amounted in sterlinge mony to
337 li and noe more as they beleeve which the
said Middleton did alsoe as they beleive receive in
part
