  • Go into edit mode
  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

the Mary Bonadventure arlate and
soe much this rendent hath as he
beleeveth acknowledged and confessed
Et alr non credit drum arlum esse
verum maliquo

Ad 2um et 3um arles rendet that he
doth beleeve that before the fift of
January 1647 there was some
communication betwixte the arlate
Mullenox and this rendent for the
said Mullenox to buy of this rendent
one sixteenth parte of the shippe
arlate and her tackle and furniture
for the summe of 80 li and for the
said Mullenox to have it made
over to him from this rendent
when he the said Mullenox
should give security to this rendent
for the true payment of the said
80 li but this rendent beleeveth
that the said Mullenox did never pay
any parte of the said 80 li nor give
any manner of security for the
same or any part thereof to this
rendent or for his use before
the first of January 1647. arlate
nor had any bill of sale or other
writinge made over to the said
Mullenox by this rendent of any
sixteenth part of the said shipp
