to steere the said shipp East and they
notwithstandinge as this Rendent
beleeveth steered her East northeast
or otherwise shee could not have been
runne aground and cast away where
shee was as this Rendent eleeveth
And otherwise for his parte hee doeth not
beleeve the said position to bee true in
any parte thereof

To the seaventh pretensed position hee answe
reth and beleeveth That the arlate Sumpter
and the rest of the parties mentioned and
expressed in the schedule annexed to his
this rendents answers were in the said
shipp the Ulisses from the time of thir
entrance into pay as aforesaid untill
the time the said shipp was lost and cast
away which was upon the 23th of
October in the morneing 1650 as this
Rendent remembreth And otherwise for
his parte hee doeth not beleeve the said
pretensed position to bee true in any parte
thereof

To the eight pretensed position hee answereth
and beleeveth that the said Sumpter and
Companye had on board the said shipp
the Ulisses some Adventures but to what
value this Rendent knoweth not And
otherwise for his parte hee doeth not beleeve
the said pretensed position to bee true in any
parte thereof

To the ninth pretensed position this Rendent
answereth and beleeveth that hee this
