Transcription

and had his Letters Testimoniall onboard
the said shippe att the time of the said seizure
whereby it did appeare that hee was as
hee is a free Burger and Denison of
fflushen which was taken from him by the
said Cornelis and Company or some of
them and is suppressed and concealed
by them as hee beleeveth And otherwise
hee doeth not beleeve the said pretended position
to bee true

To the 8th hee answereth that the said shipp
the Saint Nicholas was taken as aforesaid in
the port or harbour of Portland within
halfe a mile or lesse of the shoare as hee
beleeveth And otherwise hee doeth not
beleeve the said position to bee true in any part

To the last hee answereth that saveing
his former Answers hee wholly denieth
the same./
