Yo:e expressions to mee heere weere free & noble on behalfe of my son<ref>Charles Bendish was appointed an employee by East India Company on November 4th, 1661.  His salary was determined one month later.  He and Cesar Chambrelan, the son of Sir Thomas Chambrelan, were employed on annual salary of £25, whereas Henry Oxenden, Sir George Oxenden's nephew, was employed on £20.  The more experienced Streynsham Masters, another of Sir George Oxenden's nephews out in the East Indies with him, received £30 per annum.
