Thomas John of Cadiz in Spaine Mariner, aged 40 yeares
or thereabouts sworne and examined as aforesaid.

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee was only a
passenger in the said shipp the Salvador, and first imbarqued himselfe
in her a dayes space before shee sett saile bound for Ostend, and
saith that an hundred and seaventeene potacks of the tobaccoe aboard the said
shipp belonge to Emanuel Corea a merchant and a passenger in the said
shipp which hee knoweth because hee came from the West Indies in the
companie of the said Emanuel in the shipp the Nostra Senora del Rosario
to Cadiz in which the said Emanuel brought the said tobaccoes to
Cadiz, and the twelve potacks of the tobaccoes aboard the said
shipp belonge unto him this deponent, and were laden by him and for his
owne accompt, And otherwise hee cannot as hee saith depose, saving
the said Emanuel and this deponent were and are subiects of the kinge of Spaine.

To the second and third hee saith hee had a bill of lading aboard for his said
goods in the masters custodie besides one of the same tenor in his owne
custodie which hee hath still in his possession, and that hee hath
seene the said Emanuels bill alsoe, and otherwise hee cannot depose not
knowing as hee saith ought of any booke or other papers aboard.

To the fourth hee saith hee cannot depose.

To the fifth hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.

To the 6th hee cannot depose.

To the 7th hee saith hee hath noe part in the shipp or money aboard or in
any of the goods, saving in the said 12 potacks of tobaccoe which belonge unto him which hee sent
aboard in a barque in the day time, and otherwise hee cannot depose
saving as aforesaid.
