Examined upon an allegation in acts and certaine<br />
exhibits on the behalfe of the said Clarke.

'''William Webster''' of the citie of London Merchant, one of<br />
the Accompatnts in the Prize office, aged 45 yeares or thereabouts<br />
sworne and examined.
To the said allegation and to the exhibits therein mentioned nowe showne unto him<br />
hee saith and deposeth that the said exhibits were and are true copies of the<br />
originalls thereof remayneing in the office of the Collectors for prize Goods<br />
and were and are subscribed with the proper hand of him this deponent<br />
touching the truth of the said copie[?a]s concorda[?nt] with their originalls, and<br />
were and are alsoe subscribed by the allegate Robert Seawell and that<br />
hee this deponent and the said Seawell wereat the time of the said subscriotion officers in the said<br />
Prize office, And lastly saith that the originalls of the said schedules or exhinits were<br />
and are Accompts given into the said office touching the severall shipps<br />
therein mentioned by the producent Captaine Clarke who delivered the<br />
same in as true and full accompts for the said severall shipps.

London one of the clarkes of the Navy office under mr Thomas Smith aged<br />
47 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.
To the said allegation and schedul[?a]s hee sith and deposeth that the said<br />
schedul[?a]s were and are true copi[?a]s of the originalls thereof containing<br />
an Accompt given in by Captaine Clarke to mr Thomas Smith and<br />
John hill Esquires late Collectors for Prize goods touching the shipps therein mentioned, and the said<br />
Schedul[?a]s or copia[?a]s were and are subscribed (touching the agreement thereof<br />
with the said originalls) with the proper hands of him this examinate and<br />
his precontest William Webster then officers in the Prize office, And<br />
otherwise hee cannot depose.

'''Marcus Johnson May''' of Amsterdam Mariner, aged 33 yeares<br />
or thereabouts sworne and examined.
To the first and second articles hee saith and deposeth that the producents<br />
hendrick Aga[X], [X]alti[?e] Cornelison and company all Inhabitants of<br />
Amsterdam and other parts of the Netherlands in the dominion of the States of the<br />
said [X]ands have bin and are the true and lawfull owners and proprietors of<br />
the shipp the ''Golden Wagon'' arlate (Peter A[?nn]is master) and of her<br />
tackle and furniture and soe commonly accompted, which shipp being in<br />
[XXXX] last taken by them of Scilly, and afterwards retaken by the Parliaments<br />
shipp is nowe lying in the river of Thames where hee was yesterday aboard<br />
and saith that hee this deponent is sent over from Amsterdam by the said<br />
owners for the recovery of the said shipp, and thereby hee well knoweth their<br />
proprietie [?t]herein. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
