Ryper att Cadiz. And saith that for theis reasons, and having seene oftentymes<br />
the firme of the sayd Michael Ban Lubkin, and having likewise seene a duplicate<br />
or exemplar of the sayd bill of lading remaining in the Registry of this Court<br />
her firmly beleives that the sayd Michael Van Lubkin did firme the sayd<br />
bill att Cadiz and that the Contents thereof were and are true and so<br />
had and done as therein is conteyned. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the fifth article of the sayd allegation this deponent saith that the sayd Edward<br />
Peters was and is an Inhabitant of Antwerpe in Brabant and<br />
a subiect of the King of Spaine, which he knoweth being his Cashier<br />
as aforesayd; And saith tat the sayd shipp with the sayd sylver and money<br />
in her was in her Course from Cadiz seized and deteyned by some<br />
shipps of warr belonging to this Commonwealth as he beleiveth And<br />
otherwise cannot depose.
To the last he saith his depositions are true.

To the first negatively.
To the second he saith he hath knowne Edward Peters Interrate 6 yeares and<br />
William Jansen for .6. yeares by correspondencyes, and Geraerl Ryper in like<br />
manner 4 yeares, and otherwise saving his foregoeing depositions hee<br />
cannot depose, saving that he this Rendent never was att Cadiz.
To the third he saith that Wiilliam Jansen and Geraerl Ryper interrate are<br />
the producents factors, and otherwise saving his foregoeing depositions<br />
he cannot depose,
To the fourth he saith the sayd Edward Peters is a native of Antwerpe in Brabant<br />
and hath there lived about five yeares, and before that for many yeares<br />
lived in Dover in Kent and saith that by common repute William Jansen<br />
is by birth an Hamburgher, and hath many yeares lived with his wife<br />
and family in Cadiz, and by common repute the sayd Gerart Ryper is<br />
by birth an Antwerper and hath lived in Cadiz 13: or 14 yeares. And otherwise<br />
he cannot depose.
To the fifth he saith he being not att Cadiz att the tyme of lading the<br />
sylver in question cannot depose otherwise than he hath predeposed
