Shipp then being in the bay of Cadize aforesayd.
To the [Second?] he saith that he well knoweth the Interrate Lewis [Fernandez?]
and hath so done for this sixteen years and upwards and as an
Inhabitant at Caracas in the West Indyes for thirteene years.
And otherwise he cannot depose, saving that he [knows?]{the?} say[d]
Lewis ffernandez is by Nation a Spanyard and so accounted.
To the third he saith that as he hath before sett forth he this deponent
saw the sayd Lewis ffernandez [his?] [] [] Antonio de Ponte
being in his Companie, [lade?] the sayd sylver Interrate the sayd Lewis
being then [jsonally?][] aboard the Sampson. And otherwise he can[not]
depose.
To the fourth he saith that the sayd produrent himselfe laded the sayd
Sylver in the day time, and the purser of the Sampson [recognised?] [the]
same aboard as he hath predeposed.
To the fifth he saith that this deponent saw the Purser of the Sampson
signe the bills Interrate aboard the sayd shipp Sampson and the [tyme?]
he well remember[ing?] was about the [tenth?] or [eleavnth?] day of Septem[ber]
as he hath predeposed. And further he cannot answer.
To the fifthe he saith by [virtue?] of his Oath that he doth not know or bel[eive]
that the bill of lading Interrate was or is [colourable?] feigned or fre[?]
but is fully persuaded that is was and is true and [reall?], and made
according to the verity of the matter. And further he cannot depose.
To the seventh he saith that he this deponent saw the [purser?] that [reisin?]
the Sylver interrate take or make a note of the [same?]but the [particular?]
contents of the same, or [whoether he entred the same?] into his ship boo[k?]
this deponent cannot declare. And further he cannot depose.
To the eighth he saith that the Sylver interrate was really and in dee[d]
laden by the very same pty in the bill of lading mentioned being the
sayd Lewis ffernandez and noe other. And further to this Interrate [?]
he cannot depose.
To the nynth he saith that he knoweth not of any bills of Lading sign[ed]
for the sayd Sylver other then the [?] by him formerly mentioned []
whereof is arn[eyed?] to the allegation whereon he hath been examined, A[nd]
otherwise saving his former depositions he cannot depose.
To the tenth he saith that he knoweth not nor beleiving any part o[]
his Interrogatory. And further cannot depose.
To the eleventh that the produrent who [added?] the Sylver aforesayd
hath of [?] before the seizure aforementioned both at Ca[ddiz?]
amd att sea [?] this deponent that the Sylver interrate was laden for
the produrents owne Account and att his owne [prog?] perill and [?]
And further he cannot depose.
To the twelfth he saith that he this deponent was borne att Sevill in
Spayne, and when in Spayne inhabiteth att Sevill, and saith that he hath
noe interest in the sylver Claymed eyther in property or ensurance
and further saith likewise that it will not be any advantage to him [?in]
any kind if the sayd sylver be restored. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the thirteenth, fourteenth fifteenth and sixteenth Interrogat
he cannot depose.
To the seventeenth he saith that he this [?] saw the sayd [?]
