Transcription

To the third he saith that he knowste not John Baptista Stayne[?], saying
it is only a borrowed or feigned name as he hath deposed. And further
cannot depose.

To the fourth he saith that Lorenzo de Veles is by birth a Duinkerker and by
habitation of Cadizs in Spaine. And the sayd Hannekaort is an Inhabitant
of Antwerpe as this deponent hath hearde. And John Baptista Stayn[?] is a feigned
name as aforesayd. And otherwise he cannot depose.

To the fifth he saith that the sayd Lorenzo laded the sayd money himselfe, and the
Captaine or master of the shipp Christian Cloppenburgh[?] received[?] the same
aboard in the daytyme[?]. And further he cannot depose.

To the sixth he saith that he saw the sayd Cloppenburgh[?] master of the Salvador
signe the bills of lading as he hath p:rdeposed about the begginning of October
aboard the sayd shipp. and othorwise he cannot depose.

To the thirteenth he Saith, that the Sayd Lorenzo da velus as he has p:rdeposedd
bought[?] the money now claymed[?] with plate and money of Mexico brought from the
Indies, and saith that att the buying thereof the sayd Lorenzo [declined?] that part
of the same with the quantity of eight hundred pieses of eight more for the
xxx of the sayd Pedro and Andrea Hannekaort. And futher he cannot
depose.

To the fourteenth he Saith that the sayd Lorenzo develus att the lading of the
sayd money told this deponent that he laded the same vizt. twenty baggs xxxx
for his owne Accompt and xxxx. and four baggs xxxx of all the xxxxx and
for the Accompt of the sayd Hannekaorts
