To the first negatively.
To the 2d he saith he knoweth not Abraham van Hembecque by sight but hath
knowne him by correspondencyes about five yeares, and saith John Baptista
[?Stem] is a supposed feigned name, and ffrancis Sierpe he hath knowne
about twlve yeares and saw him in Companie with this deponent and John
Martins att Cadiz the tyme interrate. and otherwise negatively.
To the .3.d he saith that Lorenzo de Veles did lade the aforesayd six barretons of
sylver and made use of the feigned name of John Baptista [?Stem] in the bills of
lading for the same. and ffrancisco de la Sierpe did cause the two larger
barretons or peices of sylver aforesayd to be laden by his servant, and is a
factor and Correspondent of the sayd van Hembecque, and the sayd
Lorenzo de[?Velles] who made use of the feigned name of John Baptista [?Stern],
as aforesayd is a Correspondent of the sayd producent. and otherwise
negatively.
To the 4.th he saith that ffrancisco de la Sierpe for theise 12 yeares hath lived
in Cadiz and his howse is neere the ffranciscans College or Cloyster there. and
otherwise saving his former depositions he cannot depose
To the 5th he saith Lorenzo de[?arles] aforesayd a Dunkerker did lade the sayd six
barretons, and ffrancisco de la Sierpe did lade the sayd two large barrs or
peices by his servant called Phillip, and saith the sylver was all laden in the
day time and receyved aboard by the master John Martinsdorp his Purser
being present. And further he cannot depose.
To the .6.th he referreth himselfe to his former depositions and further he
cannot depose.
To the .7.th he saith the two bills of lading to the allegation annexed are true and
