To the eighth and nineth hee saith hee hath heard his Gunner
who was in the Saint Mary when shee was rescued by the Saphire
speake to the effect arlate, but this deponent for his part was
carried in Collarts frigot and landed at Charrant. And otherwise
hee cannot depose.
To the 10th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and
saith hee hath seene the said shipp Saint Mary da Guardalupa which was seized as
aforesaid and which is here in question lately
lying in the River of Thames neere London, and well knoweth her to be the same.
To the 11th hee saith the said Balthazar and John Coymans
were and are merchants and Inhabitants of Amsterdam and
subiects of the States of the United Netherland Provinces and
keepe houses and families in Amsterdam and soe have done
many yeares, and for such they were and are commonly accompted,
And otherwise hee cannot depose.

14 yeares last or thereabouts, And saith hee hath noe part
in the shipp, but shee is about 700 gilders debter to him in regard
of soe much cost and charges bestowed upon her about repairing
her after hurts that shee had received there by storme, and for
victualling and necessaries. And that hee had in her
at the time of her seizure by the English 5 dozen of Tortoise
shells for his owne accompt, And otherwise negatively saving
his foregoeing deposition.
To the second hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition
where hee hath satisfied the same. And otherwise hee cannot
depose./.
To the third and fourth hee saith hee hath knowne the said shipp the
Saint Mary for three yeares last, which hee saith was first called the
Three Storkes, but the said Coymans buying her of Paul
Collas her former skipper, and designing her for the Canaries
upon the foresaid voyage, they changed her name to the name of Saint
Mary da Guardalupa, as being a name more acceptable amongst
the Spaniards. And saith shee is hollands built, and that hee was
not present at their buying her. nor hath seene the bill of sale, nor any money paid for her,
And otherwise hee cannot depose, saving as aforesaid.
To the fifth hee saith hee was not present at the buying of the
lading that was in the said shipp when shee was seized, only
hee himselfe bought his said Tortoise shells, And otherwise hee
cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
