twenty four baggs of money have bene delivered att Oostend in case. the
sayd shipp Salvador had safely arrived there, which this deponent [?the ?lpp ? Shipp]
had done if by by the seizure aforesayd she had not bene prevented. And further
he cannot depose.
To the Crosse Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first he saith and deposeth negatively.
To the second he saith that he hath knowne the Interrate Lorenzo de Veles for the
three yeares now past. but Pedro Hameakert he knoweth not. And saith that he
saw the sayd Lorenzo att Cadize and aboard the Salvador att the tyme interrate
but John Baptista Steyne he saith he knoweth not it being onely
a borrowed name under which the sayd Lorenzo de Veles laded the sayd sylver [?interrate]
And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the third he saith that saving his answer to the second Interrate he cannot depose.
To the fourth, saving his fomer depositions, he cannot depose.
To the fifth he saith that Lorenzo de Velés laded the sayd money himselfe and
the saime was received aboard in the day tyme by Christian Cloppenbergh
Master or Captaine of the shipp Salvador And furher he cannot depose
To the sixth he saith that the sayd Cloppenbergh signed the bills of lading interrate
in the sight of this deponent aboard the sayd shipp in the bay of Cadize, but
the particular tyme he remembreth not saving that it was after the tyme
of lading and before the departure of the sayd shipp from Cadize. And
otherwise he cannot depose.

owne Accompt bought the sayd money att Cadiz. And saith that the sayd
Lorenzo de Veles bought likewise att Cadiz the other four baggs of peices of eight
Peru money, with mexico money which he bought with him for the
Accommpt of the sayd Pedro and Andrea Hannekaert from the Indyes
as he likewise did his owne Peru money aforesayd with Mexico money
brought him from the Indies att the same tyme. this deponent beinge
present att the buying thereof att Cadiz aforesayd And otherwise he cannot depose.
