Transcription
To the first article of the said allegation this deponent saith and
deposeth that the shipp dove whereof Walter Cable was and is
master in her voyage which shee made about the beginninge of
August last from the River of Thames to Newcastle did not
touch fall foule with or come near any shipp or vessell whatsoeever
neither did shee in her passage through the Well nor untill shee
came to Newcastle touch any shipp nor vessell whatsoeever, which this
deponent knoweth being one of the company of the said shipp Dove
and being on board her all the said voyage, and knoweing that noe
such dammage or disaster as is in this cause pretended could bee done
But this deponent must needs have knowne it. And further cannot depose.
To the second article of the sayd allegation this deponent saith and deposeth
that in or about August and dureing the Doves aboad at the Scheilds
the voyage in question this deponent saw aboate come to the doves side
and enquired for William Robinson the Masters boy, and told him in
this deponents heareing that there was a kinsman of his on shoare
that had brought cloathes for him from his mother, or words to that
effect wherefor the said Robinson went willingly a shoare with them, But
when hee came a shoare (as hee afterwards related the same to this deponent
and the rest of the shipps company) the Master of the Successe

To the third article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that

Caarpenters besides his owne to search for a leake that was in her
and they found a peece of her head rotten, which because it
was rotten and not by reason of her knockinge against any other shipp or vessell
they cut it out, and put in a new peece, which this deponent knoweth
being present and knoweing and seeing the premisses, and further cannot
depose./
To the fourth article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth
that hee never heard any of the Company of the say or confesse
that they pretended dammage to the Successe was done, by the said shipp dove
