I have more y:e Caus to aske yo:w pdon y:t I have not writen to yo:w since ye death of my best friend Mrs Dallison, & to give yo:w sence in y:e losse of her, for she was a pson y:t had obliged me as much as anybody y:n in y:e world, & next to yo:rselfe & neare relatives, I had a ?sheare in her unexpected Death, I wish it may fall to my lott to doe any y:t ?decing from her any good office or service S:r wilst I say this of her, I must add y:t yo:w are in y:t seince as well as in nature her Brother, y:e many obligations w:ch yo:w have fastened on me, (in my sonn)

speake yo:w soe, & allthough he is not in a capasity to make yo:w any returne yett I must doe him y:t right y:t he has rendred me a full & faithfull account of his ingagem:t to yo:w & w:th y:t impatience w:ch becomes a thankfull brest has oblidged me to take notice of it & returne yo:w thankes, as I Doe by this, & shall doe by anything y:t shall offer its selfe from yo:w;

I cannot tell whether y:e seas will pmit him to come over by y:e first opetunity as I doe wish he may, but I shall be y:e better sattisfied in his absence, knowing he has soe good a friend & ?patorn by him, I confese he did write to me to send him over 500:ll; but adviseing w:th friends & upon acco:t of y:e times, I did not think it proper to adventure anthing considerable, but if he shall have occastion to use one or 200:lls; if y:t may stand w:th yo:r conveniency to furnish him w:th it, I will see yo:w justly repayd upon his hand, S:r I shall add noe more to yo:r trouble, but pray y:e Continuance of yo:r advice & countinance to him w:ch I shall by all means acknowledg that can come w:th in y:e power of
