Abstract & context


Captain Richard Minors, commander of the Leopard, wrote a letter to Sir George Oxenden dated October 9th, 1662, which he sent from Bombay.

The Leopard had departed London after February 1662, and had sailed first to Lisbon, where it took aboard the Portuguese Viceroy of Goa, and then had continued on towards Goa.[1] It was reported passing Augustine Bay in July 1662.[2]
