4. aged about 24 yeares, being sworne upon the
5. holy Evangelists on this first day of August
6. 1657 Before the right worshippfull John Godolphin
7. Doctor of Lawes One of the Judges of the high Court of
8. Admiralty in the presense of Millicent Colequite
9. Notary publique did by vertue of such oath depose
10. as followeth videlicet
11. That he the deponent did and doth well know the shipp
12. the Peter of Tunsbrey in Norway, he the deponent having bin
13. Skipper of her these fower yeares last past, the sayd
14. shipp being of the burthen of (about) 250 Tonnes, And that
15. he having authority and power from Ambron Larson and
16. hans halvorsen the Owners and Proprietors of the
17. sayd shipp the Peter did make sale of her unto Peter Rich
18. Edward Askew and Robert kilver of London for which
19. in consideration of the summe of five hundred and fifty
20. pounds lawfull English money to him this deponent payd
21. and satisfyed by them and that in presence of the said
22. bargaine of sale, he this deponent hath delivered possession
23. of her unto them the said Peter Rich, Edward Askew and
24. Robert kilner, and that they are accordingly at this presente
25. in quiet possession of her, as they ought to bee, And by
26. Vertue of the said oath he further deposeth that by reason that
27. his brother Abraham Jacobson Larson was Master ˹Skipper˺ of the
28. shipp the Saint John of Larwick, he very well knew her, and
29. hath soe knowne her for about 8 or 9 nine (sic) yeares, and that
30. he lying in the River of Thames with the aforenamed ship
31. the Peter, when his sayd brother lay then there with the
32. sayd ship ˹the Saint John˺ he well knoweth that the said Abraham
33. Jacobson Larson this deponents brother did according to the
34. orders, directions and powers by him given in that behalfe
35. from and by Ambioen Larson and hellweck Tag[ersone GUTTER]
36. Widdow the Owners and Proprietors of her, make sale
37. of her unto Peter Rich, Edward Askew and John Larson
38. for and in consideration of the summe of sixe hundred pounds
39. lawfull English money to him payd and satisfyed, and that
40. therupon accordingly the sayd Abraham Jaconson Larson
41. did putt them the sayd Rich, Askew and Larson
