John Pryenaer of Ostend Mariner
aged 44 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined
as aforesaid.
6. To the first and second Interrogatories hee saith and deposeth that
7. the said frigot the Peter came from Ostend about 8
8. weekes since on a man of warr voyage to take the enemies
9. of the king of Spaine, and had a Commission from don the
10. Supreme authoritie there, and that this deponent in a drinking
11. fit engaged him selfe as a common man in the said service
12. and that after their comming out they tooke a small
13. barke of ffoy with pilchards, and set the men all ashore, and
14. tooke alsoe a ffrench man, and set most
15. of her company alsoe ashore, and had seaven or thereabouts of
16. them aboard when the Peter was taken by the Adventure
17. frigot neere WarXXXs, all which ffrench the English commander
18. put ashore in the downes, saving an old man named John
