To the rest hee is not examined by direction of the producent./

To the Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith, That hee this rendent is a hamburger borne bredd
and residing there from his infancie, Andotherwise negatively to every part
thereof./

To the second hee saith hee is a Mariner by profession, and saith hee hath bin
onely once at Amsterdam which was in the yeare 1651. and then remained
there about ten weekes togeather as hee now remembreth And saith hee
then saw the interrate shipp the Saint George there being then come from Cadiz
in Spaine, And saith hee this rendent never saw the said shipp Saint George
at hamborough since hee saw her built there as is predeposed./:-

To the third , hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition, And otherwise
negatively/:-

To the fourth hee saith hee hath never knowne any hollanders or other
strangers cause any shipp of shipps to be built at hamborough for their owne use
or accompt:-/

To the 6th hee referrerth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition. And further
cannot depose./

John Lowers of Masterland in NOrway Mariner aged
26. yeares or thereabouts a Wittnes sworne and examined.

To the 4th article of teh said Allegation hee saith and deposeth , That about
three yeares since, the time hee otherwise remembreth not, hee this deponent
being at Amsterdam was then and there hired by John Martens dorpe
then and now Master of the arlate shipp the Saint George, to serve and sayle in the same to
Cadiz in Spaine, which this deponent accordingly did in the Condition of a common
man, and saith That after the said shipps departure from Amsterdam shee
sailed to Cadiz, and there discharged, and from thence was employed in the
king of Spaines service to Maiorca, from whence she returned to Cadiz
and there tooke in her ladeing lately surprized and taken aboard by some of the
shipps of this Commonwealth, And saith That during all the time that the
said shipp the Saint George remained at and neere Cadiz taking in of her said
lading the Constant common and generall report there was, That the
said shipp and her then ladeing were then designed to saile from thence to
Ostend or dunquirke in fflanders and for those Ports and Places and for no other
this deponent and the rest of the said shipps crew were by the said Master
entertained at Cadiz. And saith That this deponent hath never heard
any common or Credible report either at Cadiz at the time of the said
