that the said producent laded them for his owne accompt, and was alone
to run the hazard and adventure thereof, and was and is the sole
owner and proprietor thereof, which hee knoweth for the reasons
aforesaid and because hee this deponent was in the West Indias
with the said producent and acquainted with his gaining and obteyning
the said silver and woolls by his traffique and dealing in merchandize
and seeing him carry them from Lima to Panama, and thence to
Porto Ballo and thence for Spaine, this deponent comming in the
same fleete from the Indias with him and in the same shipp
and seeing him the said producent at Cadiz and the same, and afterwards
sending the same to be laded as aforesaid aboard the shipps the Saint George and
Sampson, aboard the which the same was laden for Ostend, And
for the reasons aforesaid hee beleeveth that noe other person whatsoever
hath any interest in the said silver or wooll. Ams
otherwise hee cannot depose, saving that hee this deponent have the
producent advise and assistance in the lading of the said silver and wooll[?s]
at Cadiz.

To the first hee saith that hee had bin about 30 dayes aboard the
said shipp the Saint George after her departure from Cadiz before
her seizure, and came first aboard her in the bay of Cadiz.
and otherwise negatively.

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said producent about
7 or 8 yeares, and that hee the said producent is as this deponent
hath heard of Madrid by birth, but is a batchelour and not of
a settled habitation, using a voyaging manner of life in merchandise.

To the third hee saith that his precontest Thomas Sanchez de Orissa
and the barkeres were present at the lading of the said silver and
goods with the producent, And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as
aforesaid and saving that John Mexia was present with the [?producent]
ashore and alsoe sawe the sending the said silver and woolls to be laden.

To the fourth hee saith that the said silver and woolls were laden
in the day time, And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid
this deponent only seeing the putting thereof into the boat[?e] to be
carried aboard, and not seeing the actuall delivery thereof into
the shipp.

To the fifth and 6 hee saith the said John Martinson dorp signed for some
a [?receit] or ticket of the receipt of the said barrs, laden aboard [?him]
and [?soone] or sixe dayes after as hee remembreth the time hee signed the [?XXX]
bills of lading for the said three barrs laden aboard him, and
saith the said bills were and are true and reall and noeways
fictitious or colourable, and saith hee sawe the said John Martins
after the said receipt, enter the said silver laden aboard him in his
booke of [?Sebardo] or Roll of his lading with the markes thereof
And otherwise hee cannot depose.
