To the 21th hee saith the said ''Bantam ffrigot'' after her<br />
departure from the East Indias arrived in the Port of<br />
Legorne in the moneth of August 1658 and there unladed her<br />
said Pepper Brought from Indra Ponza, which hee knoweth<br />
for that hee sailed in the said ship from the East Indias<br />
to Leghorne. And further cannot depose./.
To the 22th hee cannot depose./.
To the 23th 24th 25th 26th 27th and 28th hee Cannot depose.
To the 29th hee saith that the said Sir John Dethick and the<br />
Merchants aforesaid have suffered great Losse and damage<br />
by reason of the Premisses. but hee Cannot Estimate the<br />
same, And further cannot depose./:
To the 30th hee saith that during all the time that the said<br />
ship the ''Bantam'' was and remained in the East Indias<br />
the said Voyage, neither the said Mr Newman, nor the<br />
said Captaine Taylor nor any of the said ships Company<br />
did doe any Injury or Wrong to the Generall of<br />
Battavia, nor to any of the ships of the said Dutch East<br />
India Companie, nor the Captaine Comander or Company<br />
thereof, but did Demeane and Carry themselves very<br />
Civilly and Peaceably towards all of them, and further<br />
hee saith hee cannot depose./.
