To the 4th pretensed position hee answeret … To the 4th pretensed position hee answereth<br />
and beleeveth that since this rendents<br />
Arrivall to this porte of London hee<br />
this Rendent hath delivered unto the<br />
arlate Searchfeild or his Assignes<br />
all the said forty foure Caske onely<br />
Two of them were through the badnes<br />
of the Caske leaked out end for end<br />
and divers of the other Caske were<br />
by the insufficiencye of the said Caske<br />
some parte of them leaked out some<br />
more and some lesse but howe much<br />
this Rendent knoweth not in regard<br />
the said Searchfeild tooke away the<br />
same and carried them home and never<br />
called this Rendent to veiwe the<br />
leakage thereof And otherwise for his<br />
parte hee doeth not beleeve the said posi=<br />
tion to bee true in any parte thereof/
To the 5th pretensed position hee answereth<br />
and beleeveth that the time arlate the<br />
Twoe Caske arlate did containe one<br />
Tonne and a halfe of oile and not above<br />
ut credit And otherwise for his parte<br />
hee doeth not beleeve the said position<br />
to bee true in any parte thereof
To the sixth pretensed position hee answereth<br />
and beleeveth That in case all the said<br />

the time of theire Ladeing onboard<br />
the said shipp they would have<br />
contained the number of 34ave<br />
