certaine knowledge (who was aboard the sayd shipp<br />
when she was setting sayle for England) there were<br />
noe other hogsheads of wines, more than or besides the<br />
19 hogsheads of sherry wines arlate, And further<br />
he cannot depose./.
To the sixth article he deposeth that he very well<br />
knoweth by Letters he hath seene that a Butt of<br />
sherry wines was worth 24 ''li'' a Butt, much about<br />
the time the said shipp arrived here in England<br />
with the said wines, And further he cannot depose<br />
saving that 2 hogsheads of sherry wines makes a Butt
To the seaventh article he saith that the producent hath at<br />
least bin damaged fifty pounds by the arlate Marshalls<br />
receiving and deteyning the said 19 hogsheads of wines<br />
and keeping the proceed thereof from the said producent<br />
And further he cannot depose.
To the 8th article he referreth himselfe to the Registry
To the last he saith his former deposition is true.
To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he did not knowe<br />
the shipp interrate before she lay in Cadiz bay the<br />
time predeposed, and that the Owners of her were<br />
reputed Bristow=men And otherwise he knoweth<br />
not to answeare./
To the 2d Interrogatory he answereth that the interrogate<br />
Thomas Crocker did sayle home in the sayd shipp<br />
from Cadiz, and that he the Rendent doth not<br />
know that the interrate John Crocker had then any<br />
wynes laden aboard the sayd shipp, And further<br />
he cannot answeare./
To the third Interrogatory he answereth that there were noe<br />
more hogsheads of wine laden aboard the shipp<br />
interrate than the 19 hogsheads of sherry wines<br />
predeposed of, And otherwise referring himselfe<br />
to what he hath predeposed he cannot answeare/
