shipp the ''hare in the feild'' was of Middleborough and came from<br />
New haven arlate, and was laden with linnen and other Commodities<br />
and bound for Cadiz in Spaine And further to this article hee cannot depose/
To the 5th hee saith that hee well knoweth that some of the Company of the<br />
''hare in the feild'' (whereof the Stiersman was one) did<br />
in their owne boate before the ''Tyfer ffrigott;'' came up, goe on board the ''drake''<br />
''ffrigott'', and further hee cannot depose for that hee<br />
this deponent soone after the Company of the ''hare in the ffeild'' was soe gone<br />
in their boate aboard the ''drake ffrigott'', was Commanded on board the ''Tyger''<br />
''ffrigott'' when shee came up to the ''hare in the ffeild''./
To the 6th article hee saith that about an hower after the sayd Company of<br />
the ''hare in the ffeild'' were soe gone in their owne boate aboard the ''drake''<br />
''ffrigott'' aforesayd, the ''Tyger ffrigott'' came up with the ''hare in the''<br />
''ffeild'' about twelve a clock in the night next after the 5th of May last<br />
(old style) and this deponent being then aboard the ''hare in the ffeild'' the<br />
Company of the ''Tyfer'' carried this deponent in their boate aboard the<br />
sayd ''Tyger'', whether when this deponent was come, hee did acquainte<br />
the arlate Captaine Saunders that the ''hare in the ffeild'' did belonge<br />
to Middleborrough and was bound for Cadiz laden with linnen,<br />
and told the sayd Captaine Saunders that hee might well excuse Captaine<br />
Keene arlate for not coming out of his shipp the ''hare in the ffeild''<br />
by reason it was then late in the night, and the sayd Keene knew not<br />
certainely whether the sayd Captaine Saunders his shipp did<br />
belonge to the Commonwealth of England or not or words to that effect And<br />
hee alsoe saith that about fower or five a' clock the next morning<br />
being the sixth of May alast (old style) the sayd Keene came on board<br />
the sayd ''Tyger ffrigott'' And further to this article hee cannot depose<br />
saving hee saith that hee this deponent after his being brought on<br />
board the ''Tyger ffrigott'' as aforesayd was kepyt and deteyned on board<br />
her and came noe more on board the ''hare in the ffeild'' untill shee<br />
arrived at Portsmouth Roade arlate./
To the 7th hee cannot depose./
To the 8th hee cannot depose for that hee was on board the ''Tyger''<br />
when the sayd Keene was sent for to come aboard her./
To the 9th saving his foregoeing deposition to which hee referreth hee<br />
cannot further depose to this article./
To the 10th hee saith for his part never heard the sayd Keene<br />
speake any thing to the effect arlate and further to this article hee cannot depose/further to this article hee cannot depose/ +
