to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere/
To the 2 Interrogatorie hee saith the grounds interrogate lye within the ebbing and<br />
flowing of the sea and is at high water about a myle broard and at lowe<br />
water about a quarter of a myle broad, and saith by reason the mouth of the<br />
river is but shallowe not above seaven foote deepe or thereabouts at lowe<br />
water, and lyes beyweene two sands, shipps of such burthen as is Interrogate<br />
nor any shipp of any great burthen can or doe come in and ride there, and hee<br />
saith hee this deponent never sawe any shipps of one hindred tonne burthen ride<br />
there, And further hee cannot answere/
To the 3 hee saith hee was never at any Vice Admirall Court held in Kent<br />
And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere otherwise then negatively<br />
well lnowing that the ffishemen Tennants of the Mannor and hundred of<br />
ffeversham doe yearely in the Court held for the Lords of the<br />
sayd Mannor and hundred of ffeversham (in which court none can be of the<br />
Jurie but the tennants of that mannor and hundred) sett out and make orders when<br />
the lands in question shall be laid in and when broken open and punish offenders<br />
against the sayd orders and having never heard that any other Court<br />
had any power to doe soe or did doe soe touching the sayd grounds./
To the 4th hee saith hee beleeveth the ffishermen of Stroud Milton and other<br />
places have within the tyme Interrogate fished secretly and as trespassers<br />
on the ground[?X] Interrogate And to the rest of the Interrogatorie hee answereth<br />
negatively for his part having never heard of any such complaint<br />
or order as is Interrogate./
To the 5th hee saith hee can neither write nor reade And to the rest<br />
of the Interrogatorie hee answereth negatively saving his foregoeing deposition/
To the 6th hee saith saving his foregoeing answere to the first Interrogatorie<br />
hee cannot further answere hereto./
To the 7th saving his foregoeing deposition to the arlate allegation<br />
in this cause hee cannot answere to this Interrogatorie
To the 8th hee saith there are divers other fish beside oysters taken in the grounds Interrate by<br />
the ffishermen of ffeversham hundred and mannor Tennants to the sayd grounds, as seales dabbs [?throwbacks GUTTER]<br />
damasells whittings and other smale fish, but not by any fishermen<br />
of any other places whatsoever as hee beleeveth inlesse secretly and<br />
as by stealth And further hee cannot answere./
To the 9th hee never knew heard or beleeveth any such thing as is<br />
Interrogate./.
